New Year’s Eve is a night of hope and celebration. Hope that the new year will bring happiness, good health, and prosperity. Whether you are ushering in the New Year at home or out on the town, here is a list of places and events to celebrate.
Hosted by Lustre bar, complete with 20’s inspired cocktails, appetizers, heated rooftop, and live DJ’s. Attire is roaring 20’s!
NEW YEARS EVE BLOCK PARTY ON MILL
This party has been the go to place for years, but this year, it is being scaled back due to declining attendance over the past couple years. The upside to this is there will be no entrance fee to get onto Mill Ave; the downside is there will be no live bands playing this year. Many bars on Mill Ave, such as Fat Tuesday and Handlebar, will be hosting their own parties.
NEW YEAR’S EVE AT TOPGOLF GILBERT/SCOTTSDALE
If you would like to ring in the New Year at Top Golf, it is probably a wise idea to call now to reserve your bay. The bay’s are quite pricey; ranging from $225-$450 and there is a six person maximum per bay. There are two different price ranges for bays, depending on which floor you are on, and each price point includes different items.
DECADENCE NYE AT RAWHIDE
Quite possibly the largest New Year’s Eve adult dance party in Arizona (18+ only) that will feature many current bands such as The Chainsmokers and DJ Snake. Tickets start at $26 and there are many surrounding hotels to stay at in the area.
THE ULTIMATE NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY AT WYNDHAM GARDEN PHOENIX
Includes walking the red carpet, media photo backdrops for step and repeat, champagne toasts, appetizers, party favors, and DJ’s to ring in the New Year.
ALL THAT GLITTERS NYE GALA AT TALKING STICK RESORT
Either choose standing room only or reserve a booth. Each ticket will receive a champagne toast and party favors.
NEW YEAR’S EVE 2016 AT TALKING STICK RESORT™
Visit three party rooms throughout the night with different entertainment in each. There are two party packages to choose from; which could include a buffet, drinks, and a champagne toast.
Festivities include a confetti countdown blast, live DJ, VIP table service, and even a morning after party that starts at 6am!
SPENDING NEW YEAR’S AT HOME
For those that do not want to go out and take on the crowded bars, restaurants, or streets, I suggest having a New Year’s Eve party at home. Hit up a party store and buy some themed hats, tiara’s, noise makers, or necklaces to liven up the atmosphere. Serve some tappas, a cheese and meat platter, or desserts.
Create a mini bar using mixers for an adult beverage and include some bubbling champagne for when the ball drops at midnight. If you do not drink alcohol, put together a hot cocoa bar or a soda bar with a variety of different flavors.
Have a themed party using a Gatsby inspired roaring 20’s theme or have a throwback to the 80’s. You can even have a game night themed party where you have several board games to play, card games, or an adult themed game like Cards Against Humanity.
Regardless of how you spend your New Year’s Eve, just remember to stay safe, do not drink and drive (always have a designated driver or car service) and have a Happy New Year!
