We had a lot of fun getting our “hula” on at our September Moms Night Out event at Kaju AZ Hula Halau in Gilbert!
Before we get too far into the details, we have to give Michelle with Michelle Watz Photography some major props! She came to our rescue with very little notice to take pics for our event. She was awesome and we can’t thank her enough for helping us out in a jam-you rock Michelle!
We got to learn the amazing history behind hula dancing and shook our rumps with Kaju’s hula masters.
Our hula instructors for the evening were Sifu Dolly and Ro. WOW, are they awesome!
We were treated to some yummy, authentic Hawaiian pulled pork, macaroni and potato salad and scrumptious desserts. They were all made from scratch by Sifu Jen, one of the owners of Kaju. They totally spoiled us!
Then it was time to get our hula on! We learned the basic steps of hula.
Some of us picked it up quicker than others! But we all still had a really great time.
Towards the end, our instructors performed for us. Even this little cutie can get her hula on!
