Halloween and Fall are my favorite times of the year. I love all of the fun decorations, all of the amazing costumes, pumpkin carving, Halloween and Fall parties, Halloween treats and most of all Kids crafts. I know we are always looking for something fun to do with our kids, that is TV free and not too pricey. I have a toddler at home and he loves to do a fun crafts. I decided with it being Fall and October, we would try The Pumpkin Apple Stamp. I have been wanting to try this one for a while, so we finally did it.

It was so fun, it is affordable and so cute, my son loved it. It was a bit messy though! But, it was well worth it.

I did this craft in my kitchen, i suggest if you do it with more then one child or want a less stressful craft hour, i would advise you do it outside with the kids. You will be less stressed out about paint getting everywhere or when the kids drop the apple stamps. It would make clean up a little easier as well.

You are going to need to following materials to get started with this craft. I found all of my craft items at Walmart.

Materials:

  • Apples – I used Red and Green
  • Orange craft paint
  • Green craft paint
  • Paint brushes– Big Sponge ones and smaller thin ones
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • White Paper

Step number one is to cut the apples in half, then dry the inside and outside with paper towels. Next, on a paper plate, squirt a little orange paint and a little green. I did more orange paint then green. Or you can do a plate for each color.

Let your kids paint the apples Orange and stamp up their papers. I helped my son because we did it at my kitchen table. But if you do it outside, let them go wild. They will love it. The pictures don’t have to be perfect, as long as your child is having fun and they love their picture.

My son loved painting his apple orange to become a pumpkin. I loved watching him have fun and enjoy creating art. Messes are just temporary, but memories last a lifetime. Using one of the smaller paint brushes, i painted a leaf and stem on the top of the pumpkins and we also added names. You can also add a jack-o-latern face if you want.

We then let the pumpkin paintings dry for about 20 minutes. Then we displayed them proudly on a cute orange craft string when we were done! We used cute mini close pins to hold them on our orange craft string.
