JUNE 10th is National Iced Tea Day
I know its not everyones cup of tea (see what I did there) but guys this is my DRANK!
Iced tea! Any kind really, although I do prefer an unsweet version over the classic sweet tea. In this AZ heat and summer heating up its a necessity around these parts. Mornings are for iced coffee and then iced tea is consumed the remainder of the day. We are hitting consecutive triple digit days and what better way to celebrate than with a cool beverage. I wanted to share my favorite go to, all you Starbucks lovers will thank me with the money saving tip as well.
AT HOME ICED PASSION TEA/ LEMONADE
– Lemonade ( I use Simply Lemonade )
– Ice
Easy and simple ingredients.
Boil water in kettle, steep 3 tea bags in jar of choice for about 5 minutes, let cool, pour over ice, and add lemonade. I prefer more tea than lemonade so I only add a splash at the end. Depending on your preference play around with the portions. I was told Starbucks version is a 1:2 ration of tea and lemonade. Also because the passion tea is caffeine free its a drink everyone can enjoy!
I usually brew a whole carafe of tea to have on hand in the fridge. Admittedly I have been know to drink the whole thing before days end. Its that good guys. I hope you guys give it a try and stay cool during this hot summer.
