Move over cupcakes! There is a new dessert in town!

Being new to town, I make it a point to go discover new things and places and I am so glad that I discovered the Chandler farmers market a couple of weeks ago because that is where I met Hazel, part owner of Fluff It Bakery, LLC. This is where homemade marshmallows are born by combining rich ingredients and creativity. Ok, so I am not typically a marshmallow person but I saw these things from a distance and the look of their fluffy goodness drew me in. I noticed the big pink ones sitting in a jar atop chocolate chips and I was all in. I spoke with Hazel Arce and she gave me a run down on the company. They make homemade marshmallows in a variety of flavors and also do hot chocolate jars with cocoa mix and chocolate chips! Hazel sent me home with a bag and let me choose the flavor. Naturally….I chose S’mores! I couldn’t wait to get home and try them! I had never eaten a homemade marshmallow before.photo 1

The hardest thing in the world was waiting until after dinner to dig in. Mom was bringing pot roast over for dinner and so I didn’t want to spoil my appetite and I thought I would share the mallows! I offered my mom and hubbie one but they weren’t marshmallow people either and wanted to split one (more for me!) We all LOVED them. It was a totally different taste and texture than a store bought marshmallow.  The top was dipped in chocolate which was reminiscent of the old fashioned Rocky Road bars. They truly were delish!

Fluff It is a local “marshmallowery?”. In addition to numerous flavors and varieties, Fluff It will set up a marshmallow bar at your party or event for a change from the traditional candy bar. Fluff it Bakery was opened in April 2013 by Tricia Medina and has already been exposed to mallow fans across the US.
