Life is NEVER Easy

Over the past 18 months I’ve had the pleasure of being “every type of mom“.

I’ve been a stay at home mom, a work from home mom, a part-time working mom, and full-time working mom. None of this was necessarily by “choice”. I simply did what was best for my family at every given moment. Just like all of you do.

But one thing I learned through it all, was that no one “has it easy”.

Because here’s the thing: a working mom will always say that a stay at home mom has it easy. A stay-at-home mom will always say how easy it must be for a working mom to not to take care of her kids. However, this isn’t the case for anyone.

Motherhood itself is HARD. Every kid is different, every mom is different, every family is different. No mom out there has the “easy” road, because even if you have the easiest kid in the world, LIFE can still be hard.

Many times a day, I have to remind myself that everyone is doing their best, and that I don’t know what others are going through. As moms, I think we should all do the same.

Motherhood as they often say “takes a village” , so why is the village of motherhood SO INCREDIBLY SEGREGATED?!

I’ve learned during the past year and a half that apparently stay-at-home moms and working moms cannot be friends. Which is so sad because they both have so much to offer the other.

My point here is this: NO ONE HAS IT EASY. Honestly, whether you are a mom or not- you should value this advice. Give a helping hand, smile at others, and take the time to be someone’s friend. There are so many people in this world that just need ONE good listener, or friend, or smile.

Be the mom who helps others, and others will help you!

Ashley Lessard
Ashley is Disney-Obsessed Momma to 2 adorable little ones (Charlotte & John) who are both in their toddler years. She has two fun and lovable rescue pups, and an amazing husband whom she first met in second grade. Together they all enjoy hiking and supporting small local businesses. In her free time Ashley is a basic mom who, like most, enjoys Target, coffee, and wine! She also enjoys traveling to Disneyland and eating Pineapple Dole Whip frequently. She loves eating all things sweet, and loves the rain! She is a HUGE fan of watching Disney movies and drinking iced coffee year round. It’s never too cold for iced coffee, seriously, she drinks it in the snow. Ashley’s perfect day (besides a day spent in Disneyland) would be snuggling on the couch watching a Disney movie with a great cup of iced coffee, and the door open to the rain outside!
