How to Celebrate Mother’s Day During a Pandemic

0

Mother’s Day is a special time when you get to celebrate one of the people you always turn to for advice or who has supported you in every way. You might even be celebrating yourself and honoring the true superhero that you are. This day is a great time to show your love for all the wonderful women in your life.

How are we supposed to do that, when there is a pandemic going on?

We want this day to continue to be special by showing our love, support, and infinite gratitude to those we love most. Here are some ideas to help show those special ladies in your life how truly awesome they are.

  1. Set up a ZOOM/Facetime call with your family to talk and say, “Happy Mother’s Day.” You could even pick out a theme (coffee, brunch, happy hour, fiesta, etc.)
  2. Order a delivery-Flowers, wine, chocolates, sweet treats, edible arrangements. There are so many possibilities now with Postmates, Ubereats, DoorDash, etc. I know that Sprinkles, Crumble Cookies, and See’s Candies do same day delivery.
  3. Drive By-You can bring a special gift or treat over to their house, leave on their doorstep, and see them face to face. All while social distancing of course.
  4. Send a virtual gift card or experience idea you can do together when the quarantine is lifted. (Examples: massages, wine tasting, dinner, broadway play, staycation, cooking class, or a weekend getaway.)

This list is endless! As long as we somehow recognize, thank, support, and love on our mommas, the day will continue to be special.
