Meet East Valley Moms’ Founding Team

Meet East Valley Moms founders and learn more about how this little slice of the internet was founded.

Wife…mom…working mom…stay at home mom…work at home mom…single mom…friend…sister…aunt…cousin-as WOMEN we try and do it all don’t we?!?

In 2012 when two of our founders (Lisa and Christina-SISTERS!) decided that the moms of the East Valley needed to be more connected, we received looks of bewilderment from their husbands. With two full time jobs and 7 kids between the two of them, they absolutely needed another project to do!

Fast forward to March of the next year and enter our other two founders, Yung and Michelle (mother/daughter dynamic duo). Michelle was a contributor at one of our sister sites-San Diego Moms Blog and when her husband found out he was being relocated to the East Valley then Michelle, who cannot sit still, immediately contacted our Network about starting up a site in the area she would be moving to.

The founders all talked on the phone and set up a meeting. That’s how East Valley Moms  came to be!

So what exactly is East Valley Moms all about?

East Valley Moms is a community of women-both online and off- (we welcome Dad’s too!) raising kids in the East Valley of Phoenix Metro.

We are a collaborative blog written by and for local moms with daily posts keeping you informed on things to do around town, ways to get involved in the community, parenting solutions, personal essays from local moms, local business spotlights, giveaways, and more.

Bring your happy memories, your not-so-happy moments, your hopes and fears to our writing and this website.  Our team of writers will be bringing ours too, and we are hoping for many “that’s exactly how I feel!” moments.

2020 update: East Valley Moms was sold to Amy McConnell, APR, in the summer of 2020 to continue connecting local moms to nearby resources to make parenting in the East Valley a more joyful, connected experience.

  1. Hello my name is Tina Lee. I am a new business owner in gilbert. I have a small fitness studio, and we are doing an amazing give back program for schools, and a health and fitness challenge for teachers. It doesn’t start until September. How can I find out how to advertise or get info out to the community about it? Please let me know who I might be able to talk to about it. Thank you! Excited about this blog!
