TEMPE

Saturday November 30th, 2019 – The annual tradition of spending the Saturday after Thanksgiving supporting local businesses continues this year with Downtown Tempe inviting the community to come out in force and help the small businesses that are the backbone of our economy. With nearly 70% of Downtown Tempe comprised of small businesses, your support counts every day of the year, but especially in this age of online shopping, faceless big box purchases and the infamous retail apocalypse. Do your part and spend with local merchants this year. Between November 12th and November 30th, 2019 Shop Small supporters may vote in an online contest to nominate their favorite independent business, with a prize pack valued at $500.00.

6th Street Market, holiday markets – Downtown Tempe’s weekly community market puts on a festive flair this holiday season with special pop-up markets and more. Every Sunday (except the weekend of the Tempe Festival of the Arts), from 10am – 3pm 6th Street Park near Tempe’s City Hall comes alive with purveyors, produce, artisans and more offering hand-made baked goods, crafts, artwork and one-of-a-kind gifts, clothing, accessories and all sorts of treasures to fill a stocking, gift bag or to place by the menorah. The 100% curated market offers local-only items with live music in a festive atmosphere with special pop-ups this season including Selfies with Santa and Dogs of 6th Street on 12/15, a Holiday Foods Pop-Up on 12/22 and complementary gift wrapping from 11/29 – 12/22.
