A Shout out to Great Dads This Father’s Day!

This Father’s Day, I’d like to take a minute to toast the great dads out there.

I want to personally shout out all the dads who don’t “babysit” or “watch” their kids- but parent

I’ve heard men sometimes exclaim that they can’t do fill in the blank here because they have to babysit or watch their kids, but there are great dads out there who just parent their children. This is my shout out to you!

  • Cheers to the dads who cook weekend pancakes/waffles or surprise their kids with donuts.
  • To the stay-at-home dads or the dads who work all day and come home ready to help with chores and play with their kids
  • Cheers to the dads who rock a minivan, and still look soooooo good driving it.
  • To the dads who carry a pink floral diaper bag with a bow- we see you and we are digging the floral on you!
  • Here’s to the dads who have mastered the pony tail and/or pig tails for their little princess and always remember to add a bow
  • To the dads who lift their kids in the air for “helicopter” rides, or let them ride on their backs like “horseys” when all they wanna do it lay on the couch.
  • Cheers to the dad who gets up early on his day off with no complaining to go watch their kid fail at a sport.
  • Here is to the dad who is having a tea party with this daughter in a tutu, or letting the kids put a cape on him.
  • Cheers to the dads who work hard.
  • Salute the dad who lets us go out for mom’s night out without a single comment other than “Have fun! and tell the girls I said hi”.
  • Here’s to the dad who hears crying from the baby in the middle of the night and says “I’ve got this- go back to sleep”
  • To the dads who love their kids more than all the sports and beer in the world.
  • Cheers to the dads who provide for us, whether mentally or financially.
  • Here’s to the dads who support the hopes and dreams of not only their wife, but their children as well.
  • To the dads who attend all the school events and parent-teacher conferences, because they WANT to.
  • Cheers to the dads who love unconditionally, and teach their children to do the same.

Mostly, I’d like to shout out the dads who were our husbands first. Who we thought we could never love anyone more than we already did- then we saw you with our baby in your arms.

Happy Father’s Day to all the great dads out there!

Ashley Lessard
Ashley is Disney-Obsessed Momma to 2 adorable little ones (Charlotte & John) who are both in their toddler years. She has two fun and lovable rescue pups, and an amazing husband whom she first met in second grade. Together they all enjoy hiking and supporting small local businesses. In her free time Ashley is a basic mom who, like most, enjoys Target, coffee, and wine! She also enjoys traveling to Disneyland and eating Pineapple Dole Whip frequently. She loves eating all things sweet, and loves the rain! She is a HUGE fan of watching Disney movies and drinking iced coffee year round. It’s never too cold for iced coffee, seriously, she drinks it in the snow. Ashley’s perfect day (besides a day spent in Disneyland) would be snuggling on the couch watching a Disney movie with a great cup of iced coffee, and the door open to the rain outside!
