A peek inside the gym-very motivational!

We were recently invited to try out the awesome classes that FR FitMethod has to offer!  Our two guinea pigs were one of our founders, Michelle and friend of EVMB, Heath.

I sat down with Michelle and Heath to see what they thought about the classes and their experience.

*How often and what types of workouts do you do on a regular basis?

Michelle:  I work out 4-5 times a week lifting weights and am working my way towards doing more distance running.

Heath: I work out 4-5 times a week (weights and interval cardio) and in addition I have completed several marathons.

*How is FR FitMethod different than your normal work out?

Michelle:  I lift heavy weights at the gym followed by my cardio.  I love my gym routine and don’t typically do classes at my local gym.  The classes at Fit Method are smaller and more personal.  All the instructors were fantastic as well and very energetic.

Heath:  At Fit Method I used more of my own body weight in the exercises then lifting actual weight. Also, at the gym I would tend to allow myself to rest longer between sets. At Fit Method the classes are compressed with very little rest time between exercises, which allows you to keep the heart rate up and burn more calories and stay in the fat burning zone.

*Which classes did you take at FR FitMethod?

Michelle: I had to opportunity to try them all. I went almost every day!

Heath:  Soul Spin, Soul spin fusion, TRX, TRX Express, also I had my daughter in Kids functional-which she loved. I enjoy the fact that Fit Method has a class for kids. I didn’t get to experience Power yoga or Group interval.

*Which class(es) was your favorite?

Michelle: I really enjoyed the TRX Class.  I feel like it was very effective and fun!  Soul Spin was also another favorite.

Heath: I enjoyed all the classes the same however, I really enjoyed the TRX Express.  I didn’t realize I could get such an effective workout in such a short period of time.

*Do you feel that the addition of these classes to your regular workout routine would be beneficial?    If yes, how so?

Michelle: Absolutely.  It’s easy to get stuck in your gym ways.  Fit Method not only has great classes but Felicia as well as all the other instructors are very motivational and really make your time working out fun.

Heath:  Yes, I believe adding these type of workouts/classes are beneficial to my workout. It allows different movements to be experienced and definitely breaks me away from my regular routine that I tend to fall into when I go to the gym. Also, with having a group of people in the classes (men and women) it naturally raises a persons competition level.

Thank you again to our “test subjects” for spending a week getting their booties kicked!
