On the 26th of this month is the Chandler Day of Play, during which we will hold the first ever Bike Land event. So I know what you may be thinking because it is on my mind too:

Why would I bring our bikes to a FREE festival with plenty of other stuff going on?

Well, the answers are simple!

7. Every year we lose 600 plus people to bike and car related incidents. The key to greatly reducing the number of deaths is EDUCATION for both car drivers and bike riders. One of the reasons cycling is so big in other countries is that this education and mutual respect starts at a very young age.

6. Have a flat tire, a broken spoke or some other nagging minor problem with your bike? Bring to the experts at REI and Global Bikes at our event and we’ll bet they will have you up and running in no time.

5. You are raising money for local schools. It is no secret that our schools need MONEY – we are even voting this month to pay additional taxes for necessities. Here is a fun, tax-deductible way to make that happen quickly.

4. We’ll be giving our plenty of prizes including THREE FREE BIKES, including a custom cruiser to those who participate! We’ll also have whole Birthday Parties, unique bike safety lights that look like a light show on your wheels and so much more!

3. You are doing something that is healthy for your child and good for the environment! You are being a GREAT example as a parent!

2. Banner Health will be giving away 500 FREE Bike Helmets to those who grab a Bike Land Passport and visit some cool booths for even more fun and giveaways!

And the number one reason …

1.  **We have more than 100 secure, guarded bike parking spots for you to “valet” your ride and see the rest of the event for FREE.**

Don’t forget! Bike Land, Day of Play, October 26th from 9am-1pm! See gearupaz.org for more details about Bike Land, our amazing sponsors who we’d love for you to support, and the Brett Saks Foundation. Thank you!  Kim Saks, Founder
