BFF Date nights in the East Valley

I am a big advocate of date nights. In fact so much so that I wrote about why I think it’s important here. Today I would love to share some of the things that would be fun to do with your best bud or even a group of them.

If you all love to eat, I always find that trying out new places with friends are so much more fun, and much more adventurous. We try to all order different meals so in the end we get to try more than one thing from the restaurant…I love places like Postinos or The Wild Vine Uncorked for bruschetta boards, couch seatings, and sometimes live music. The Ostrich, The Perch, Vintage 95 and Santan brewing in downtown Chandler are favorite spots of mine for yummy drinks with great food options. The Social Box in Chandler has a revamped menu and their tower of cotton candy is great for sharing.  In the mood for sushi? I love meeting at Sushiya, Blue Wasabi, RA or Red Koi. For a delicioso Mexican meal head over to Tia Rosa, La Rista or Cafe Rio.

Then lets not forget that happy hour was created to help us get together on a slightly cheaper price point right after work hours. Kona grill, Gordon Birsch, Blue 32, Isabel amor and HOB, are great places to start at. Sharing drinks and appetizers are always less casual and seems more relaxed anyways.

Only have an hour or so to meet? How about meeting for brunch or a lunch date. It gives us time just enough time to re-connect and yet still be home for the kiddos nap time or to pick up the kiddos from school. Am I right? Snooze, the HenHouse, BLD and or The Gilbert House are nice options in the East Valley area. Sometimes the lines can be long but use the waiting time as a social time as well. Grab a seat and chit chat while you wait.

As our lives seem to get busier everyday we NEED to find time to spend it with a friend or two. Re-connecting over a Pinterest craft day/night might not be such a bad idea. Going to a paint night with a friend might be just what the doctor ordered for your stressful week. Uptown Art in Chandler is one of my top pick for such a fun night. Not into painting? How about running a fun race together or maybe doing a mystery night together? I would highly recommend going through what Groupon has to offer if you are looking for more ideas.

As we recover from the stress of the holidays and or perhaps of parenthood, it’s okay to allow ourselves to spend an hour or two or three with our BFFs. Heck, splurge a little and get a pedi together or maybe watch a movie and share a meal right after. I know we all can get busy but I also know that making time for ourselves and friends is a must. I highly recommend going to your next BFF date night old school style, leave your phone in your bag or car and just have fun. Visit with the person or people you are there with. Let’s skip the check-ins, the food posting and the tagging till after all the fun has been had.

Now go CALL (not text) a friend to schedule your next date. I hope you make it a great day!

XoXo,

Roe
