Snow in the valley! 

Don’t worry about driving hours to play in snow and check out these valley places that have it!   Have a snow day in the valley!

Arizona Science Center 

December 26th – January 1st

Snow Week is back this December at Arizona Science Center for seven days of science wonder.  Over 60 tons of snow will blanket Heritage and Science Park’s grassy hill in white.  The Center will have daily demos including special ‘explosive’ demonstrations and kid-friendly activities throughout the the week.  Explore how science fiction icons have inspired discoveries in science and technology in,Alien Worlds and Androids.  See life size replicas of Iron Man, C-3PO and R2D2 from Star Wars movies, and a replica T-800 bust from The Terminator in this popular traveling exhibition.  This is the best time of the year to visit Arizona Science Center with family and friends for some winter fun. 

Children’s Museum of Phoenix 

Saturday, December 10th 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

20 tons of snow! Starts 9:00 am until the snow melts.  Snow activities are free with a paid Museum admission of $11/person. 

Desert Ridge Marketplace

November 21st – December 31st  Nightly 7:00 pm & 8:00 pm

This holiday season, Desert Ridge Marketplace is bringing the thrill of snow to the desert without the chill! Experience snowfalls each evening, starting November 21 through December 31 (excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas Day) at 7pm and 8pm for 8 minutes within The District at Desert Ridge Marketplace. Plus, enjoy snowfalls every hour from 11am-8pm on Christmas Eve.

Out of thin air, flakes of fluffy white snow will float down from the sky, transforming the AMC Fountain and Fireplace at Desert Ridge Marketplace into a living snow globe. Just as mysteriously as the snow appears — it disappears without a trace, leaving behind magical holiday memories.

Mother Nature’s Farm

Saturday, December 10th 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

Kids are $10.00 that includes the snow hill all day, the hayride, maze, air bounce and the animals, the adults are $3.00 to tag along. Maneau’s Munchies will be open on the weekends for snack food, etc hotdogs, popcorn, cotton candy, chips, soda and hot drinks.

Phoenix Zoo

Saturday, December 31st 9:00 am to Noon

It’s Noon Year’s Eve at the Phoenix Zoo—a fun-packed party for the whole family that comes 12 hours early.

Festivities include:

  • 30 tons of snow (for kids of all ages)
  • Snowball targets
  • Countdown to a noon ball drop, and toast with cider or juice
  • Live music, dancing, games and prizes

Rawhide

November 24th – December 23rd 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Join us for our 4th annual Rawhide’s Snowy Christmas from November 24th to December 23rd! The kiddos can drop off letters for Ol’ Saint Nick himself and even have their photo taken with him. Stroll through Rawhide, watch the snow fall, get your shopping done & marvel at the holiday lights.

Schnepf Farms

Saturday, December 10th 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

We will create 30 tons of fun when we make a mountain of snow complete with a hill for sledding. We provide the sleds and you have the fun!  

Snow & Sled Day Details: $5.00 for an hour of sledding and playing in the snow. $15.00 for unlimited rides. $20.00 for unlimited rides, snow & ice skating  

Tempe Market Place 

Saturday, December 24th 11:00 am- 8:00 pm

Enjoy the magical snow all throughout the day! Today, it will snow every hour on the hour starting at 11am until 8pm near The District Stage at Tempe Marketplace.
