I love this time of year, the weather finally starts cooling down a bit, there’s fun parties and potlucks to attend, and delicious festive food to eat. Now that my kids are getting older and out of the baby stage, holidays are a lot more fun, especially Halloween. Well, except for one thing… All The Candy! Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy the occasional candy indulging, but between school and various parties, it can be candy overload! I try to keep candy in moderation, and find a balance between healthy eats and treats for the kids. It can be challenging this time of year with all the holidays approaching, but I found some fun and creative Halloween snacks that they kids will enjoy and are not sugar loaded.
Last year I hosted a Mommy and Me Halloween party, it was a potluck and we had the kids dress up in their costume. It was pretty stinking cute! My friend made this Jack O lantern Veggie platter and I did the Jack O Lantern quesadillas, both were a hit and looked very festive! Check out these recipes for some Spooky Eats and Treats:
- Mini Mummy Pizzas
- Jack O Lantern Quesadillas
- Strawberry Ghost Pops
- Jack O Lantern Veggie Tray
- Hot Dog Spiders
- Ghost and Mummy Boo-Nanas
I know my kids will love all of these recipes, and they still get a festive treat without the cavity. These would also be great for a Halloween potluck party. Do you have and favorite Halloween Snacks?
