Get out this weekend and spend some time with the family!  There are so many fun things to do around town!  Here are this weeks top 5 picks!

  1. Chandler Art Walk:  On Friday, Apr. 21, from 6-9:30 p.m. an island-themed event encouraging tropical thoughts returns to downtown Chandler as we head into the Arizona summertime. The Taste of the Islands, the theme of April’s Chandler Art Walk, will feature artisan shopping, live music by a steel drum band, and tropical food and drink specials available for purchase at participating merchants. Save your money for a trip to the beach, because this event is free-to-attend.
  2.  Our Carnival Soiree with Children’s Learning Adventure Power Ranch/Gilbert is TOMORROW!  This FREE event will feature bowling, cooking demonstrations, carnival games, carnival food and MORE!!  Register HERE.
  3. Southwest Cajun Fest: The Great Southwest Cajun Fest brought to you by Abita Brewing is set to return on Saturday, April 22, from noon – 9 p.m. in downtown Chandler. Showcasing the heart and soul of New Orleans paired with Arizona fusion and flavor for a full day packed with cultural festivities, food and entertainment.
  4. Earth Day at Barnone: Enjoy the great produce from The Farm at Agritopia which is certified organic. Learn more about sustainable energy cars. A Nissan Leaf display will be here. Yoga Center & Spa will be guiding everyone through some great yoga flows starting at 9:00. the uprooted kitchen will be serving delicious “dirt” pudding, as well as raffling away one of their cool green t-shirts. RhibaFarms collects kitchen and produce scraps for Makers on site, but feel free to bring your own for composting at RhibaFarms.
  5. Spring Art Market at Queen Creek Olive Mill:  Join us as we welcome local artists guild San Tan Artists to the grove for a Spring Art Market on April 23 from 10am-3pm! 25 artists will line our grove with hand-crafted pieces of art available for purchase. We’ll have live music, games in the grove and tours during the event. In addition to our Italian-inspired Eatery, The Pit will be open serving grilled food, craft beer and wine.
