Ford Goes Further: “Real Life” TONKA F-750 Dump Truck to Visit

Valley residents will receive $2 discount off admission on Oct. 16 between 9 a.m.-2 p.m. when TONKA truck is on display for bringing in a canned goods!

PHOENIX – Ford Motor Company will bring a “real life” TONKA F-750 – the only one like it in the nation – to the Children’s Museum of Phoenix on Friday, Oct. 16, from 9 a.m. to 2p.m. Museum guests and the general public are invited to stop by to climb in it and take pictures of the life-size truck built to resemble the popular children’s TONKA brand of toy trucks.

Anyone who stops by and donates canned food to benefit St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance will also receive $2 off admission into the Children’s Museum of Phoenix. The cost of museum admission is normally $11 ($10 for seniors and children younger than 1 are free).

Ford is also donating $5,000 to the museum in support of its “Once Upon a Fall” events later this month as part of Ford’s Operation Better World Phoenix program.

WHAT: Ford Motor Company is going further by bringing its life-sized TONKA F-750 dump truck to the Children’s Museum of Phoenix. This is the only truck of its kind in the nation and it will be stopping in Phoenix for this day only. On Oct. 16, hundreds of children at the museum will be able to check out the iconic toy brought to life as a 33,000 pound truck, complete with yellow paint and the TONKA logo. Attendees may get in the “real life” Tonka toy and take pictures.
