FAMILY (1)Eating out is always fun. Now finding a place to eat out at  where we genuinely feel like our kiddos are welcome is even better. Today I am sharing with you some of my all time favorite kid/family friendly restaurant in the East valley, heck I might even throw in some outside of the east valley. So sit back and read on about where I enjoy taking my kiddos for a family friendly meals.

My kiddos love sushi and anything teriyaki so when mommy and daddy needs a little break and want something other than sushi we take the kids to Kona Grill. Their food choices are great for families but what I love is that their kids meals comes in little bento boxes. Super cute and the kiddos love it. For those of us who enjoy a little drink to go with our meal they have a pretty good selection of beer and cocktails that you can enjoy, in fact we like their happy hour here because the food special is great and the kids can still order their bento boxes.

Love italian food? Oregano’s is one of my favorite places to go to in downtown Gilbert. We like the big portions (my kiddos usually skip the kids meals and share an adult entree) and of course the pazookies. Sometimes I take my kids in there just enjoy a pazookie. Oregano’s food is always tasty and if you have a gluten allergy they have menu items for you and their salads are just as amazing. Talk about downtown Gilbert, Barrio Queen is another restaurant that serves good food, your server might even let your little one help make table side guacamole if you ordered it. Fun and entertaining for sure.

Now what about somewhere new…Social Box in Chandler has revamped their menu recently and their artisan sandwiches and fired pies look yummy. The waiting area has games and crafts that will keep the kiddos entertained while you wait for your table .Not only do they offer a make your own S’mores for dessert but they always serve a cotton candy tower everyone can share. When is a great night to go??? How about a Monday night when your kiddos eat free.

Here are a few restaurants that still offer kids Eat free nights.

Sundays:

Z’tejas (all Locations) : southwestern menu items and even offers a weekend fun bar.

Humble Pie (all locations): Pizza, salads and more. Something for everyone to enjoy!

Earnest (Alma School/Chandler Heights): American comfort food with a twist, oh and their kids menu isn’t just burgers and pizza.

Arriba’s (6 locations): Southwestern style menu items that has quite a few kids menu item. Perfect place to eat after your Sunday costco run in Gilbert.

Dilly’s Deli (Elliot/Alma school): Sandwich shop with tons of choices. It’s a perfect to grab and go meal  for a trip to the zoo, a hike or a picnic.

Monday:

Apple Dumpling Cafe (Higley/Chandler Heights): Delicious diner food choices and the ice cream happy hour is what really got my attention.

La Rista (Lindsay/Warner): New Mexico style cuisine that my kids approved. Their fried ice-cream and banana rito is a must try dessert.

CiCi’s pizza buffet (Southern/Gilbert rd): pizza buffet that most kiddos I know enjoy. So much choices and they eat free with each paying adult.

TQLA (Val Vista/Baseline) Mexican food with a flair. Chips and salsa will keep my kids busy and happy!

Tuesday:

Applebee’s (select location) American cuisine. Something for everyone and definitely more locations to choose from. I recommend calling ahead to make sure your location offers Kids eat free night before heading down.

Chompies (101 and frye) New york style deli and the bagels are delish! So much to choose from and the challah french toast stick are one of my kiddos favorites!

Denny’s (select location 4-10 pm) call ahead to double check but breakfast for dinner is always a great idea to me.

Fat Willy’s ( select locations 2-10 pm) burger and fries are always a great idea during football season. Kids choices range from burgers to wings. Win win!

Wednesday:

Uncle bears ( All Location) Yummy in their tummy burgers or spaghetti. Definitely not your typical bar food.

NYPD pizza (all locations after 4 pm) Delicious pizza and the kiddos meals include a drink and a sundae..Need I say more???

Kids eat free EVERYDAY:

St. Francis (Central and Camelback)

Chelsea’s Kitchen (40th street and Camelback) Kids eat free from 3-6 every day

Then there are these other favorite places:

Paradise bakery (aka Panera) if you want fast food without the fast food guilt.

Village inn for their free pie slice on Wednesday.

Joe’s BBQ in downtown Gilbert for their finger licking good BBQ and spacious outside space where kids can run around like crazy without other parents judging you.

If sushi is your thing Sushi Go Round on Alma school and Ray is a cool place to check out at least once, my kids think it’s fun picking sushi off the conveyer belt.

Hon Machi (Alma school/Queen Creek rd) Meal with a great show that involves fire! Teppanyaki food and they are on groupon a few times a year to help you save some dough

Speaking of dough…MOD pizza and Fired pie are great places where you and your kiddos can make your own pie. Nothing makes the kids happier than knowing they picked their own toppings.

I hope my list of family and kid friendly restaurant has helped you decide on where to go eat next. I’m positive I missed a few great places to take your family to enjoy a great meal. Please comment below to share those gems with me and the rest of the East Valley Moms Blog community. Till next time and until then I hope you make it a great day!
