East Valley Moms Blog partnered with The Bump to host “Bump, Babies and Beyond” on October 21, 2014. The event was held at Tumbleweed Recreation Center in Chandler, AZ. Over thirty moms attended the event and enjoyed bites from Grimaldi’s, Proof Bread and yummy goodies from Inspired Sugar, presentations from various industry professionals and an outdoor vendor fair. The swag bags given at the end were some of the best yet! They included items such as baby bottles from MAM, utensil sets from Re-Play, Dr. Smiths diaper ointment, a Diono mirror and best of all, Fairytale brownies!
The evening started with an outdoor vendor fair featuring over 15 companies including AZ Sitter’s Connection, Sweet Simplicity Baby Food, Au Pair Care, E.L. Hicks Photography, and Alphabet Anatomy to name a few.
The food spread included caprese salad and antipasto from Grimaldi’s Pizza, as well as freshly baked goodness from Proof Bread. The dessert table was the center of attention with goodies from Inspired Sugar, Sprinkles, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Sweet Tooth Fairy and Mind Over Batter. It was decorated in sweet baby inspired décor from Petite Party Studio.
The presenters were Kristin Przybylski from Bump to Rump, Stephanie Lobeck from SafeRide 4 Kids, Caitlyn Laney from The Birth Haven at LifeSpring Midwifery, Brie Hall from Baby Basics Parent Education and Shannon Dougherty and Kim Miller from FitMom Diet. They discussed topics that ranged from swaddling, to sleeping to fitness. All of these topics were aimed to help give insight to new moms with children under three and soon-to-be moms.
During presentations, moms were welcomed to go outside and shop or sign up for a massage from LifeQuest Chiropractic. Moms kept LifeQuest quite busy as the massage chair was not empty for almost the entire event.
The evening wrapped up with giveaways from national sponsors such as Baby Bjorn, Re-Play, Mountain Buggy, Boppy, Mama’s & Papa’s, Earth Mama Angel Baby, JJ Cole, Ubbi, Crane, OXO, Bumkins, Beco and 4moms as well as local and mommy owned brands such as Galt Toys, Dancer Sculpt, Sumits Yoga Chandler, Lilliebaby, Freshly Picked Moccasins, Philosophy, SugarLips Bakery, Jelly Strands and SafeRide 4 Kids.
The event was the first partnership with The Bump and hopefully the first of many. EVMB is hoping to host this event every year.
