Banner Children’s “GO KIDS! Fitness Challenge” is a free four-week program designed to help kids stay active and healthy during summer break. The challenge will take place June 1 through the week of June 28.

The GO KIDS! program gives children and families the tools and resources to maintain fun, active lives while making healthy choices to improve their overall fitness. Banner Children’s experts help educate and motivate kids and their families to be healthier through innovative programming, fun events and informational resources.

To participate in the summer challenge, register your child for the GO KIDS! program online at WWW.BannerChildrens.com/GOKIDS. Then record your child’s physical activity each day for all four weeks of the program via the online tracker. Banner Children’s encourages children and their family members to partake in 30 to 60 minutes of physical activity each day. Examples of activities include walking, jumping rope, playing sports and riding a bike.

Kids who complete the GO KIDS! program with at least 50 percent participation will receive a GO KIDS! headband. A prize drawing will take place each week. Children who exercise all seven days of that week and chart their participation will be eligible for these weekly drawings. One grand prize winner will be selected at the conclusion of the challenge for a Glendale Family Football experience.
