EVMB: A Spooky Date Night

Halloween is just around the corner and with it comes trick-or-treating, classroom parties, costume making, and sugar cookie decorating. I think sometimes we get so busy doing holidays around our kids schedules that we forget to make it fun for us as adults too. We have heard over and over again that it’s important to make time for you and your spouse. That is why I came up with a list of the top five reasons that you should go on a date to a haunted house. And just to make it easy on you I have added a list of the top haunted houses around Phoenix.

1) Haunted houses are not suitable for young children. This means you have to leave them at home. Enough said.

2) It’s easy to get scared if you allow yourself to. This means that you can hold on tight to that hubby of yours and let him take care of you.

3) It’s a fun thing to do with your friends. Invite your friends out for a night without kids and I’m sure they’ll be delighted to join you. Go to dinner before or out for a hot chocolate after.

4) Even if there is a long line to get in, it will give you and your spouse time to chat and talk about something other than potty training and school fundraisers.

5) It’s a once a year thing so take advantage of doing something other than a movie while you can!

Some of the areas creepiest haunted houses include:

The 13th Floor Haunted House in Phoenix

The Crypt Haunted Attraction in Mesa at the Fiesta Mall.

Fear Farm in Phoenix

The Gauntlet at Golfland in Mesa

(Most haunted houses are not recommended for kids under 12 or people with heart problems.)

Where is your favorite spooky place to visit in the Valley?
