10 Photographers Offering Fall Mini Sessions

Fall mini sessions are perfect for families for so many reasons. In about 30 minutes, give or take, you’ll have new family photos to show off on Facebook or to use in your annual holiday card. It’s also a great way to “try on” a photographer that you’ve been eyeing without committing to a full session. And, if you have squirmy toddlers at home, let’s be honest, they’re not going to last a full session anyway.

Here are 10 photographers who are offering mini sessions in the East Valley this fall. They’re all in high demand and filling up fast, so book soon!

E.L. Hicks
Our resident photographer will be offering Pumpkin Patch Mini Sessions at Vertuccio Farms in Mesa on Oct. 10 and Oct. 17 from 9 am to noon. For $65, you get a 15-minute session for a single child or siblings in a fall-themed backdrop, an online viewing gallery, 3-5 high-res photo downloads and half-off admission to Vertuccio Farm’s Fall Festival.

Melissa Donaldson
Donaldson specializes in maternity, newborn and family photographer and is based in Gilbert. Her fall mini sessions run from October to November. For $250, you will get a 30-minute session for up to a family of five ($10 per person thereafter) and 10 digital high-res images in a location of your choice.

Leah Hope
Hope will offer three locations for her fall mini sessions: Nov. 1 at DC Ranch Market, Nov. 7 at the Scottsdale Civic Center Park and Nov. 14 at the Riparian Preserve. The cost is $200 for a 25-minute session and you will receive 20 high-res images in an online gallery for you to download and keep. All mini sessions will be between 3 pm-5:30 pm and there is a $50 fee to include extended family members.

Jill McNamara
A trained photojournalist by trade, McNamara tells a story with her photos. Her mini sessions offer 30-minutes of on-location shooting, an online gallery of her favorite images from your session and five high-res digital downloads of your choosing for $250.

Rebecca Vinacour
Vinacour specializes in children and family fine art photography. Her holiday mini sessions will take between Oct. 17 and Dec. 5. There are three tiers to choose from: 1) 45 minutes, 10 high-res photos for $329; 2) 30 minutes, five high-res photos for $229 or 3) 20 minutes, one high-res photo for $179. She also offers complimentary in-person viewing sessions where she will go to a client’s home and show them hard copies of the photos from which they can choose their high-res images.

Jenna Donato
Donato is a natural light and studio photographer who specializes in newborn and family photography. Her 25-minute mini sessions will be held Oct. 18 and Nov. 7 at an East Valley park (TBD). For $100, it will include 10 high-res images for up to four people ($15 per person thereafter). Mention this blog post at the time of booking to receive $15 off your session.

Katy Zobel
Mini session dates are Oct. 24, Oct. 25 and Oct. 31 and they will be done at her home in Ahwatukee. Each $25 session is 15 minutes long and you will get five high-res digital images emailed to you. There is no extra charge for additional family members, but if you think you’ll need more than 15 minutes you can book two sequential sessions. Call 480-225-5211 for booking or questions.

Reaj Roberts
Roberts offers several mini session dates throughout October and November; some in her studio and some at Tumbleweed Ranch and Veterans Oasis Park. There are two options to choose from: 1) 20-minute session with three gift prints and 25 holiday cards for $250 or 2) 20-minute session with five gift prints and 25 holiday cards and all high-res digital images for $400.

Jennifer Bowen
Although Bowen is completely booked out, there are still fall mini sessions available with her associate photographer, Briana. Dates are Oct. 18, Oct. 25, Nov. 8 and Nov. 21. Images will be turned around prior to Thanksgiving or available by the following weekend. Briana’s sessions are 25-30 minutes long, offer anywhere from three high-res images to the entire collection, and range from $250-$615. Pricing and availability is on her website.

Blue Stitch Photography
Jen Wilbur, owner of Blue Stitch Photography, is offering fall mini sessions from October to December in locations throughout Scottsdale and Arcadia. Each session is 30 minutes long and costs $325. In return, you will receive four high-res digital images. Up to five immediately family members allowed and $25 for each additional member.
